A place to find the stories with the real experiences.
Feather Bookmark was created by an independent writer and reader to bring you the most accurate descriptions, experiences, and author stories to help you decide if a book is up your alley before spending the dollar.
There is so much to explore in the book community. There is truly so much more to experience than just the reading. I am also a victim of bad recommendations based on my own preference. I have slowly started to find a way to give detailed recommendations on books without spoiling a plotline, and without throwing out tropes or trigger words to make someone read a book.
I strive to provide information to a reader so they can develop their own opinion without the fear or judgment of others.
I also like to provide experiences, author interactions, and show the writing process from the sources themselves. I want to share my experiences with others, meeting authors, going to conventions, and gathering information for people who want to get the most out of their reading experience.

I obviously will never get to the end of my TBR. It is and forever will be a bottomless pit of books with a various amount of genres. I mainly like to read fantasy, thrillers, and romance novels. However, I am also a part of a book club where I have been introduced to other genres such as LitRPGs, self-help, non-fiction, and many more.
Something that I want to focus on for this blog is not book reviews, but series reviews. It is not uncommon to have series disappointment after liking the first or second book. I read across all platforms and also understand sometimes different formats make a difference for stories.
I also like to talk about controversial topics. This partakes to social media influence on books and the publishing industry, common issues people have with printing, or trends that are taking over that people may not like.
Also like many others, I like book events such as conventions, signings, meet and greets, etc. I would like to share my experiences at these events and my interactions with authors. It is always interesting to ask authors questions about their writing process (I am looking at you Brandon Sanderson) and get their experience while writing stories.
I want to create a safe space for readers to develop their opinions on authors, books, and book-related media without the influence of someone’s opinion.
